Is color blindness dominant or recessive in a population?

It is X-linked recessive. The reason for males having a greater probability of having color blindness is because it lies on the X chromosome. Females have two, so even if they have XHXh (Xh being affected) the XH masks it so they are only heterozygous. Males only have on X so if they are XhY they automatically have it.
